Visiting Clinton Avenue
After fighting over the apple, Aunt Bobbi taught them to share simultaneously!
I could see their eyes light up with joy - a visit to break the day's monotony! Aunt Bobbi and Great-Grandpa Bob loved playing with the boys as Great-Grandma Ruth quietly enjoyed Gracie's smiles. I'm happy to have brought such a treat for them. I know these precious visits with them are too far between...
City by the Bay Day
Scott, John, Phoebe, and I were able to head to San Francisco for an afternoon and evening of fun last weekend. It was great to do some of those classic tourist musts including: riding the cable car, walking Fisherman's Wharf, eating a clam chowder bread bowl, and visiting Ghirardelli Square for some lovely chocolate and ice cream sundaes. Apparently Johnny has done none of these before, so we called it the "SF for Johnny Day". The evening was topped off by an Asian fusion dinner on Union Street where we felt as if we had entered the hip SF scene. It's pretty cool when you are a suburban wife and so rarely get that vibe - at least Pheebs and I felt that way... What fun it is to date your husband! And what a blessing is the serving, loving, and babysitting Grandma! Woo hoo!

Late Night Humor
For some reason, at 2:49 a.m., I cannot sleep. While going through and deleting old emails, I ran across this one. I couldn't stop laughing. Late night humor, I guess. But anyway - here you go. Enjoy.
Ways To Maintain A Healthy Level of Insanity
At Lunch Time, Sit In Your Parked Car With Sunglasses on and Point A Hair Dryer At Passing Cars. See If They Slow Down.
Page Yourself Over The Intercom. Don't Disguise your Voice.
Every Time Someone Asks You To Do Something, Ask If They Want Fries with That.
Put Your Garbage Can On Your Desk And Label It "In".
Put Decaf In The Coffee Maker For 3 Weeks. Once Everyone Has Gotten Over Their Caffeine Addictions, Switch To Espresso.
Finish all Your Sentences With "In Accordance With The Prophecy."
dont use any punctuation
As Often As Possible, Skip Rather Than Walk.
Specify That Your Drive-through Order Is "To Go."
Sing Along At The Opera.
Go To A Poetry Recital And Ask Why The Poems Don't Rhyme
Put Mosquito Netting Around Your Work Area And Play Tropical
Sounds All Day.
When The Money Comes Out The ATM, Scream "I Won!, I Won!"
When Leaving The Zoo, Start Running Towards The Parking Lot,
Yelling "Run For Your Lives, They're Loose!!"
Tell Your Children Over Dinner. "Due To The Economy, We Are
Going To Have To Let One Of You Go."
