Noah starts singing on the way home from preschool:

"I am sixteen, going on seventy..."

I smile.  Clearly this song doesn't make much sense unless you have a proper understanding of how numbers work.

Confidence Continued

Wedding scene.  "This is my favorite part, Mom.  I love this part." says Noah.  "Watching people get married is your favorite?" I clarify.  "Yes, I might even cry right now I love it so much." he says matter-of-factly. 

Days like this when 80% of the things that come out of my kids' mouths crack me up are MY favorite.

I Have Confidence...

It's Mommy movie time.  I rarely put on the TV for myself at all during the day, and when I do, it must be safe for the kids of course.  Sound of Music it is.  Maria is singing, "I have confidence the world can all be mine!..." and my very literal son, Noah, looks at me with a concerned, furrowed brow and asks, "Mom, can the world really be all hers?" "No, Noah.  She's just pretending." "But why did she say that it could?"  Yes, we have to be that careful with things that he sees and hears.  This little boy wants only THE TRUTH!  ;)
